Central America is a subcontinent with an area of about 201,838 square miles and a population of about 45 million. In El Salvador you can visit the Metropolitan Cathedral, which houses the tomb of Monsignor Romero who dedicated his life to helping the poor and was assassinated while protesting the violence in his country at the end of the 1970’s.
